Built for HealthTech teams.
HealthTech AI automation is high-stakes work. We build patient-facing tools, clinical operations automation, and document-processing pipelines with privacy, consent, human review, and applicable compliance requirements treated as product constraints from the start. Houston-anchored work, available to healthcare operators nationally.
Common friction points we solve.
Every healthtech engagement we run starts by mapping these against your specific workflows. The patterns are common; the right first project is yours alone.
Compliance that paralyzes velocity
HIPAA, BAAs, security controls, and state-specific privacy requirements can materially change architecture and vendor choices. We map the technical controls with the client's compliance and legal owners instead of treating certification language as an engineering shortcut.
EHR integrations that nobody owns
Epic, Oracle Health, athenahealth, and other EHR connections each have their own access, interface, testing, and approval path. We validate the supported FHIR, interface-engine, or vendor integration route before committing to a delivery scope.
Document processing buried in fax and PDF
Fax and unstructured PDF intake creates manual classification and routing work. AI-assisted extraction can prepare structured data and flag uncertainty, while qualified staff verify clinical or coverage-sensitive decisions.
Patient communication that scales without losing the human
Appointment reminders, intake forms, post-visit follow-ups, automatable, but only if you respect the patient relationship. We build communication flows that patients consent to, not flows that overwhelm them.
Where the work usually starts.
These are the services healthtech teams reach for first. Every service we ship is available, these are simply the ones with the highest fit and clearest ROI for the vertical.
Patterns we have already shipped.
Each of these is a real engagement that demonstrates a workflow, architecture, or design pattern that maps directly to HealthTech operations. Click through to see the full case study.

Short, honest answers. If your question is not here, send it over, we will write you back inside 24 hours.
Are you HIPAA-capable?
We can scope systems that handle protected health information, including required BAAs, access controls, auditability, retention, and eligible infrastructure. The covered entity and its compliance or legal owners approve the final configuration; software architecture alone does not make an organization HIPAA compliant.
Do you handle EHR integrations?
Yes, when the EHR vendor and customer account provide an approved integration path. Epic, Oracle Health, athenahealth, Elation, DrChrono, and others differ in FHIR support, partner programs, interface engines, and approval requirements, so discovery validates access before scope is promised.
How do you handle patient data in AI workflows?
Three options, picked per project: on-premises or private-cloud open-source models (full control, higher infra cost), BAA-covered API providers (Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock with explicit BAAs), or de-identification pipelines that strip PHI before any external model call. We document the choice and the rationale in writing.
How fast can a HealthTech project ship?
As an Ideas Realized planning range, a focused HealthTech project may plan around eight to twelve weeks, while a larger platform can take several months. Security review, contracting, integration access, clinical testing, and accountable approvals determine the actual schedule.
Do you work with established practices or only startups?
Both can be a fit. An established practice may focus on a front-office workflow, while a startup may be building a new product. In either case, the engagement needs accountable clinical and compliance owners, supported integration access, and a measurable first scope.
Other industries we work with.
If your work spans more than one vertical, the playbook adapts. Hop between these pages to see how the same studio scales across different operating contexts.
